## Notice the pause signals

A plan pauses when new information needs your review. The main signals are a reply, a do-not-contact request, a complaint, or a material change.

Do not move to the next step because it is due. Read the visible item, confirm what changed, and leave the affected work paused.

## Match the signal to your review

- **Reply:** Read the conversation and review the proposed next step.

- **Do-not-contact request:** Keep contact stopped for the affected person and scope.

- **Complaint:** Leave the work paused and review the concern without a defensive follow-up.

- **Material change:** Check the new people, purpose, actions, timing, or safety limits.

Use only the information needed for the decision. Keep private message text and unrelated personal details out of notes.

## Resume with a fresh decision

Only a current review can reopen a paused plan. Choose the next action and confirm that it fits the affected person and purpose.

Earlier approval does not cover a changed direction. Silence does not mean permission. A do-not-contact request or complaint stays in force until the right person resolves it.

If the visible details conflict or remain unclear, keep the plan paused. Note the safe question that needs an answer before work can continue.
