# Use your AI with Lithi Connect

Your AI agent (such as Claude Code, Codex or Cursor) can optionally review Lithi Connect, estimate what your Macs could earn, plan the setup, make the changes you approve and check the result. Paste the prompt below to start. It works for one personal Mac or several personally-owned Macs. Business administration is a separate context with its own approval and rollout choices.

Your agent can only use the access your Lithi account and its connection already give it. The prompt does not add to that.

Only want to see how Connect works and what your Macs could earn? Choose **Review with your AI** in the Connect menu instead. That prompt only reviews, so nothing is set up or changed.

## Copy the prompt

Paste this into your AI agent:

```text
Help me review Lithi Connect, estimate what my Macs could earn, and plan how to set up and manage them with my AI agent. Keep the explanation concise and practical.
Lithi Connect helps Mac owners choose when their Macs can participate in suitable work. Each Mac has its own identity. I decide what to review, which Macs may participate, and whether to approve any change. A prompt does not grant access by itself.
Lead with the useful answer in plain words, name who does what, and explain the result. Don't bold sentences. Give each paragraph one job and use familiar words and connected sentences. Explain the parts through my Macs and goals, rather than listing technical features. Keep algorithms, formulas, protocol fields and internal status codes out of the answer unless I ask for that detail. Calculate accurately, then show the useful total and assumptions in a small breakdown. Put an important condition beside its claim and state it once. End with one useful next action.
1. Research Lithi first
Read the current official guidance:
https://lithi.ai/connect/docs/start.md
https://lithi.ai/connect/docs/use-your-ai.md
https://lithi.ai/connect/docs/macs.md
https://lithi.ai/connect/earnings.md
https://lithi.ai/connect/docs/earnings.md
https://lithi.ai/trust/provider-finance.md
Business administration, only when I manage company Macs: https://lithi.ai/connect/docs/business-macs.md
Use the HTML route when a Markdown route is unavailable. Cite the guidance you use. Explain that Connect is for anyone with a supported Mac, starting with one personal Mac. Explain what participation means and which supported tools are actually available in this session. Research is read-only until I approve a reviewed plan. If current guidance is unavailable, keep the affected capability or estimate conditional instead of guessing. Use descriptive links and the date checked beside the estimate.
2. Understand my Macs and goals
Establish whether I have one personal Mac, several personal Macs, or an approved business fleet. Use authorised local information and the supported provider tools where available. Ask one grouped set of questions only for details that are missing or needed:
- Mac model, chip, memory, and quantity of each configuration;
- country and preferred currency;
- hours the Macs could be available;
- electricity price, if known;
- whether I want a review, first setup, or help managing existing Macs.
For a business fleet, confirm only the approved devices, responsible owner or administrator, existing management system, and approved pilot group. Do not invent a future cohort or authority.
For one Mac, use clear prose. For several Macs, show compact rows by configuration and a total for my Macs. Do not assume unknown hardware, availability, electricity or currency. Do not ask me to repeat known facts, including a value already reported as unknown. Say what I can check next instead. Do not search unrelated devices, accounts or private records.
3. Explain the connection and available work
Use the current documented Lithi provider MCP connection and discover the tools actually available to this agent. Explain any sign-in, protected Mac permission, or authorisation step I need to complete. Use existing provider documentation for those steps; do not invent commands, endpoints, credentials, or capabilities.
Keep provider management separate from customer Compute tools and credentials. Explain that the agent can review and plan supported work, and can apply it only after I approve the material change. After each approved change, read back the fresh state from the actual target Mac or device. A count alone does not prove the intended device changed. If a mutation has an uncertain result, verify its receipt or authoritative state before retrying.
Use one short line when useful: inspect -> plan -> approve -> apply -> verify.
4. Estimate potential earnings
Use Lithi's current published estimator and methodology. State the source, date, inputs and assumptions in plain language. Follow its published units, rounding and calculation rules.
Calculate each Mac group separately, then show a total for my Macs. Include quantity, available hours, estimated monthly gross, electricity cost, and estimated remaining after electricity. Add an annual illustration only when it helps and label it with the same assumptions. Use dated, sourced currency conversion when needed. If electricity is unknown, keep the result unknown or show the supported range; do not call it profit or invent a rate for an unsupported Mac.
Estimates are planning illustrations, not guaranteed work, actual accrued earnings, payable funds, or paid records. Installed, enrolled, qualified and available are different from work and earnings; earned, accrued, held, payable and paid are different states. Customer token pricing is not a provider hourly wage. Money or payout changes require my explicit authorisation through the signed provider tools.
5. Give me a setup or management plan
Give a short numbered plan with the Mac or group, action, approval needed, and verification. Keep a one-Mac plan simple. For an approved business fleet, begin with the fixed approved pilot and its responsible owners or administrator; verify each device before expanding to another approved group.
Include the useful follow-up actions I ask for, such as checking status, reviewing working times, pausing participation, managing a supported update, adding or removing an authorised Mac, or understanding an earnings record. Answer follow-ups directly without restarting the whole report.
6. Help me carry out the approved plan
Show every material change before applying it. Use only supported discovered tools and the access I have authorised. I handle protected Mac permission steps.
Never expose credentials, weaken Mac security, create persistent identity or new remote access, copy device identities, widen the approved fleet, or change payout settings without the relevant explicit authorisation. Never treat customer Compute access as provider access.
Clearly separate completed and verified steps from steps that still need my action. End with one clear next action or a small approved pilot choice.
Keep the explanation clear and practical. Use short lists or a compact table only when they help.
```

The prompt asks your agent to say what it can actually do in your session. An agent that is only browsing can explain and plan. One that is connected to your Lithi account can also check status and make approved changes.

## What your agent does

1. **Reads the Lithi Connect guidance.** It explains how your Macs take part and names the pages it used.
2. **Lists your Macs.** It asks for each model, chip, memory, quantity, country, currency, working hours and electricity price. Anything you do not know stays marked unknown.
3. **Plans the setup.** It names the Mac or group, the change, what you need to approve and how it will check. It can also estimate earnings with Lithi's published estimator and show the date, inputs and assumptions.
4. **Makes the changes you approve.** You approve a specific change for a specific Mac, and nothing beyond it.
5. **Checks the result.** It looks at your account again and tells you what is done and what still needs you.

## What your agent can look at and change

When your agent is connected to your Lithi account, it can work in six areas.

| Area | What it can do |
|---|---|
| Setup | See how far your setup has got and move it forward. |
| Plan | Read and update the plan for a group of Macs. |
| Adding Macs | Prepare Macs you are authorized to add and see where each one is. |
| Working times | See your schedule, preview a change and apply it once you approve. |
| Status | See how your Macs are doing and how payouts are reconciling. |
| Earnings | See your earnings summaries and get an estimate. |

Your agent cannot reach customer Compute work, customer credentials, your device management tool or payout controls. Provider access and customer Compute access are separate, so an agent that helps with both needs its own access for each.

## One personal Mac, several Macs or business administration

With one personal Mac, the plan covers that Mac and your account. With several personally-owned Macs, each one gets its own check, because one Mac's setup does not carry over to another. Owning several Macs does not make them a business fleet.

If you manage company-owned Macs, your agent confirms the approved Macs, responsible administrator, existing management tool and a small first group, then checks each Mac before you add the next group. See [Set up business Macs](/connect/docs/business-macs).

## Estimates are not earnings

Ask your agent for an estimate per Mac model: quantity, available hours, monthly figure, electricity cost, what is left after electricity and the yearly figure. It should show the date, assumptions, electricity price and any currency conversion. [Estimate what your Mac could earn](/connect/docs/estimate-earnings) has the figures for every Mac the estimator covers, and the rule for moving them to your own hours and electricity price.

An estimate is a planning illustration. It is not promised work or a payout record, and an online or available Mac has not earned anything yet. Your real earnings come from accepted work, as described in [Earnings and payouts](/connect/docs/earnings).

## Keep using it after setup

Ask your agent to check status, review working times, pause a Mac, handle an update, add or remove a Mac, or explain an earnings record. For any change, it should show the current state and the change it proposes first, then check the result afterward. An installer on disk or a message from the agent does not prove it worked.

If your agent cannot confirm a result, leave that step open and go to [Connect Help](/help/connect/app-and-device) instead of repeating it. The full Mac routine is in [Set up and manage your Macs](/connect/docs/macs).
