## Before you get in touch

What to expect when you get in touch, and where else to look first.

### How fast will I hear back? {#response-time}

A person reads every message and answers as quickly as we can. You’ll get a confirmation when your message is accepted. That tells you it reached us; it doesn’t mean the issue is resolved.

### What should I include? {#what-to-include}

What you tried, what you expected, and what happened instead. Name the area — Lithi Compute, Lithi Connect, account access, billing or a security concern — and add the approximate time with its time zone.

### Will an assessment or application start work? {#starting-work}

No. A free assessment is read-only. An application requests access but does not approve it. A quote proposes scope, timing and cost; you approve paid work separately. Neither a question nor an application starts a job.

### What should I leave out? {#what-to-leave-out}

Passwords, API keys, access codes, signed links, bank details and customer files. Check screenshots before you attach them. Describe the problem rather than pasting a full request or an environment file.

### How do I report a security issue? {#security-issues}

Use Report a security issue for a suspected vulnerability or exposure, so it goes to the right people.

### Can I get an answer before contacting the team? {#ask-lithi}

Often, yes. Ask Lithi reads the published documentation and answers setup, compatibility and pricing questions directly. Start there, and send us a message if it does not get you what you need.
