## Before you connect

Most coding agents can already call an MCP server directly. Open your agent's MCP configuration before you start; you will add one entry for Lithi.

## Add the Lithi MCP server

Give your agent the Lithi MCP URL. Your agent's setup flow then shows the exact scope it will receive, the credential reference it will use, and the tool surface it can call, before anything is enabled.

## Approve, then test

Review that setup screen yourself. Approving it grants read scope only: services, pricing, quotes, account limits, and the five tool definitions. Execution scope for your first real test is a separate, later approval.

## What happens after connecting

Your agent can call `lithi.quote` immediately. Calling `lithi.run` or `lithi.batch` still needs the explicit execution approval described above. See [Lithi MCP](/docs/agent-resources/mcp) for what each tool returns.
