Connect one approved business tool on your Mac, choose the smallest useful scope, and check the visible result before you rely on its context.

## Start with one outcome

Choose the decision your reply should support. You might need an order status, project stage, open issue, scheduled meeting, or invoice state.

A specific outcome gives you a way to judge every setting. Name the person or team responsible for the connection so ownership stays clear.

## Choose a small scope

Select only the record types and fields that support the outcome. A record is an item from the connected tool, such as a project, meeting, or support issue.

Choose the capabilities that need those records. Add short business guidance for exceptions, and set which chosen source should take priority when records disagree.

Keep account access separate from team guidance. Do not add a record type merely because it is available, and do not treat a broad match as permission to use unrelated information.

## Connect one account

Open the integration controls on the Mac and start the sign-in flow for one approved account. Read the permission screen before confirming access.

Check the account, selected records, and visible connection state after sign-in. Keep credentials in the account’s normal secure storage, and never paste them into a support note.

If the sign-in asks for more access than the task needs, stop. Narrow the request or ask the account owner to confirm the intended scope.

## Check cited context

When approved records match a message, EmailOS can show relevant facts with a source reference. A source reference points you back to the record that supports a fact.

Read the draft and check each important fact against its source. The connection does not make a reply ready to send, and it does not replace your review.

If a record is missing or stale, follow the choice you made during setup. Pause, ask for review, or continue without that context.

## Manage or remove access

Return to the integration controls when the purpose or team changes. Narrow the selected records, update the guidance, or remove the account when it is no longer needed.

After a change, check the next visible connection state and prepared result. Keep a short note about the changed scope so another reviewer understands the decision.

Do not share passwords, tokens, private records, or message content in support requests. Share the displayed status and the step where the connection needs attention.

## Recover a connection

If the account needs attention, use its visible reconnect or recovery control. Check the account and permissions again before relying on new context.
