## Find the word you need

Use this plain-language reference to understand common Lithi terms, read an action record, and choose the right place to check when a status or account detail is unclear.

## Read an action record

A **Lithi Receipt** is a timestamped record of one action or outcome. It shows what was attempted, when it happened, the result, and a reference for finding the record again. It is not a copy of private content or a description of your whole account.

The **receipt reference** helps you find one record. Treat it like a tracking number. It is not a name, email address, or password.

Include it when you contact support, along with the date and action you expected.

Check the action, time, status, and details. If the action is still waiting, allow it time to update before treating it as final. If it is complete but the expected result is missing, compare the action, time, and account before trying again.

## Understand status words

Status words describe what a record says now. Read each word with the item it belongs to; the same word can mean something different for an account, connection, or action.

- **Pending:** received but not finished.

- **Complete:** the recorded action finished successfully.

- **Failed:** the attempted action did not finish.

- **Blocked:** a required step or permission prevents progress.

- **Unavailable:** the needed option or information cannot be confirmed now.

- **Stale:** the displayed information may not match the current source.

- **Needs attention:** a problem or missing step needs review.

An error message is a bounded explanation, not a diagnosis of your whole account. Share visible wording, the receipt reference, approximate time, and the step you were taking. Leave out passwords, private messages, tokens, and other secrets.

## Separate plans from actions

Your **plan** describes the account arrangement your organisation selected. **Account status** describes whether that arrangement is current, paused, or needs attention. These are account questions, not action questions.

An **action record** describes an attempt, such as sending, connecting, importing, or changing a setting. It can have its own status and receipt even when the account plan is unchanged. A receipt does not activate a plan, and an active plan does not prove that an action completed.

When they seem out of step, check the plan or account screen for account questions and the receipt for action questions. Note the dates because an older receipt can describe an earlier account state.

## Choose where to check

Use the [public glossary](/glossary) for definitions. Use the account, plan, or action screen for the current value. Use the receipt reference when you need to trace one recorded action.

Contact support when a receipt is missing, a status has not changed after a reasonable wait, an action appears twice, or wording does not match what you see.

Include the visible status, reference, approximate time, and expected result. Leave out private content and secrets.
