## Use shortcuts in context

Keyboard shortcuts help you move through supported Lithi surfaces. They do not create a second permission system or approve an external action.

## Open the shortcut sheet

Press **?** to open or close the shortcut sheet on supported desktop layouts. You can also use the visible question-mark control. On a phone or tablet, use the visible controls instead.

## Move through a draft

In an approve context, **Space** or **Enter** can send or approve a draft. **S** skips it, **E** opens editing, and arrow keys move between drafts.

**Esc** closes a modal or drawer. A listed key never bypasses review.

## Send a copilot message

On some surfaces, **⌘Enter** or **Ctrl+Enter** sends copilot text. Another uses **Enter** without Shift; **Shift+Enter** adds a line. These keys do not authorise an external action.

## Keep local checks separate

The Lithi app may show whether a local tool is ready or a document can be opened. A green local check does not prove authentication, account targeting, provider availability, or completed work. Read the visible result with its scope and time.

If a shortcut behaves unexpectedly, click the visible control and check whether focus is in an input or editable area. Keep credentials, private records, and message content out of support notes. For bounded verification guidance, [read the Test Lab reference](/docs/reference/test-lab).

Shortcuts can change as a surface changes. Trust the visible control when the sheet and screen disagree.

If a key does nothing, continue with the on-screen action and report only the visible label.
