## Check the exact symptom

Note the app name, the device, the message shown, and about when it happened. A specific symptom is easier to check than a general one.

Do not include private records or customer content in your notes.

## If a tool connection fails

Check the client name, the server it connects to, and the permission it asks for. Compare that against your current setup instructions.

Read each permission prompt before you approve it, and stop if the requested scope is unclear.

## If access or a credential looks wrong

Stop the action and check which account or tool you opened. Never paste a token, password, or access code into a chat, screenshot, or ticket.

If you suspect a credential was exposed, stop using it and follow the issuing service's own revoke steps first.

## Share only redacted evidence

Use your client's local diagnostic view rather than a full log. Note the time, the visible error, and one change you tried.

Share only the smallest excerpt that shows the problem, with tokens and private records removed.
